This is the same points system the NHRA uses in it divisional racing. I couldn't get a copy of this posted so I typed it in the best I could. I'll try and explain it for those of you that don't understand my typing.
On the left is the number of cars in the field, and to the right is the points you get if you lose in the above round. So if we have 26 cars in the class and I lose in round 3 I will get 52 points for that event.

Just a note to add: All remaining event non-qualifiers or no-shows in eliminations will receive 10 points upon completion of event. If you are entered in a event and you can't make it to the line when the elimination round starts you will still get 10 points.

Thanks.

I just talked with Molly at Red River and to make things easy on the points system we will get to use the track run sheets. The run sheets will tell us after each round who was the winner and who was the loser for each round. This is great for us to keep our yearly points.

Something new that the members racing on 3/15 came up with and everyone agreed on:( first round buy backs ) if you lose in the first round you can buy back, but you will forfeit 10 points. The way it worked out was pretty interesting, four of us used the buy back from first round lost. Two of us went out the second round so instead of 42 points we got 32 points that's one point more than we would have got for first round lost. One went out the third round he got 42 points instead of 52 points and one went to the final round where he lost and got 54 points instead of 64 points. We had one that could not make the first round eliminations and he received 10 points. We had four receive all points for the rounds they went as they did not use a buy back. Hope this helps everyone that was not at the first race understand what is happening.
